CIRCLE LAKE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

Notice of Treatment for the Control of
Curly-leaf pondweed
2025

Notice is given that Circle Lake Improvement District (CLID) will treat curly-leaf pondweed, an Aquatic Invasive Species, in the North Bay, East Bay, South Bay, and an access lane to the public boat launch covering 100 +/- acres. An EPA and MNDNR-approved herbicide will be applied in selected areas of each bay at no more than the recommended application rate sometime in April or early May, depending on the water temperature. The map below shows the areas to be treated. This includes the shoreline except for the channel to the boat launch. We will post the date of application when it becomes available on our website,
www.clidmn.com via an email blast and on the Forest Township Bulletin Board.

If you are a shoreline owner who is not in the treatment area and wants your shoreline weed treated, you can contact Lake Management using the contact information below to arrange for treatment.

If your shoreline is in the treatment area and you do NOT want treatment to occur adjacent to your property, contact Lake Management as well so they know to skip you.

The CLID will not be mechanically harvesting weeds this year.
